In low tech my dwarf sag stays about 1/2 an inch; in hi-tech it has gotten around 8 to 12 inches (same plant - i had moved some from the hi-tech to low tech. Also it grows pretty slow in the low tech - but keeps popping up so after a year or 18 months it will cover quite a bit of area. WebI don't expect the sagittaria to spread like crazy. I'm willing to pay a lot of money to semi carpet it with an initial group (maybe like 50 - 150 plants from ebay). All I'm asking for is for the sag to NOT DIE, and maybe at least spread a little to cover up the holes. Most people say dwarf sag is easy to grow even in low tech tanks.
